Valentine Pringle 1937 - 1999

I first heard Valentine Pringles music in 1963 at Jerry and Jeri Minx house.
I bought his records and below is one of my favorite songs from the above album.

Lyrics: Red Rosey Bush

I wish I was a red rosey bush
Like the banks of the sea
And every time my true love would pass by
She could pick a rose out of me

I wish I was in some lonesome hollow
Where the sun don't ever shine
If your heart belongs to another
Then it can't ever be mine

I wish I had a golden box
To keep my true love in
I'd take her out, and I'd kiss her twice
Then I'd put her back again
Add Image

I wish I was a red rosey bush
Like the banks of the sea
And every time my true love would pass by
She could pick a rose out of me
She could pick a rose out of me
